Open projectABOUT ME
I’m Michael—a software architect and technical advisor with over 20 years of experience, self-employed with Meierhoff Systems since October 2026. Technology itself is not what drives me; I’m looking for clarity. Good systems bring order to complexity and help people make better decisions.

MY JOURNEY
From aircraft electronics through software to enterprise architecture. The thread running through it all: look closely, recognize connections, and build a structure others can work with.
Twelve years in the German Navy, most recently as a senior technician in aircraft electronics, followed by a degree in technical computer science. Since then, I have looked at systems from the inside: components, signals, interfaces.
Just over ten years of backend development for online platforms, billing, and payments. I learned that software is only good when it reliably supports everyday work.
At Immowelt and AVIV Group, I moved from full-stack developer to enterprise architect: defining domain boundaries, organizing systems, and guiding architecture decisions in ways teams can commit to.
Since October 2025, I have been building Meierhoff Systems and developing my own products with knowledge graphs and AI. Since October 2026, I have worked independently as a software architect and technical advisor.
HOW I WORK
I most enjoy working with people who bring their own perspective. To turn that into sound decisions, I focus on four things.
MY OWN WORK
These projects began where I was looking for direction myself. They show how I work: turning complex subjects into practical tools people can explore.

Nexonoma is a web app for exploring architectural knowledge and connected content. A knowledge graph makes concepts, methods, tools and technologies accessible; graph modelling and AI-assisted content pipelines support maintaining the knowledge catalogue.
Open projectAWAY FROM THE SCREEN
I’m currently converting a Peugeot Boxer into a camper. I work remote-first and stay reliably available; I’m happy to come on site for workshops and can often do so at short notice around Hamburg. I bring my camera, often my guitar, and always my dog Lesco. Ideas settle differently outdoors than at a desk.
